Woonsocket Little League General Membership Meeting May 15, 2017 In attendance: Amy Thibault, Bill Berube, Amy Lorusso, Kim Sgambato, Judy Wynne, Steve Sgambato, Mike St. Germain, Zack Ouellette, Aileene Diaz, Mike Cinquantini, John Levreault, Tom Gray Meeting was called to order by Mike St. Germain at 8:04 pm
New Business Mike St. Germain, President
All Star Managers will be announced by May 23rd All Star Teams will be announced on June 1 o Kim will send out ballot, top 9 vote getters 9 players make the team o Manager can choose remaining three or four o Senior Division All Star Manager - only Steve Sgambato has put their name in D4 President’s meeting re. all stars is May 26 at 8pm Batting Cages at Lajoie Field o Steve Thibault helped with research. o $6,000 cost of cage - pipes, netting, pulleys, minus installation o Still trying to figure out installation with the city o Mike St. Germain has spoken with the Mayor, Tommy Brien, Steve D’Agostino o Adding a fence around the cage is another $5,000 or $6,000

Latest list of volunteer with completed background checks is posted on League’s website Only each teams’ four named coaches can be in the dugout during games o Being an approved volunteer does not mean they can help out of a team in need of additional coaches All Star Managers are responsible for verifying their teams this season; no nicknames allowed o When filling out scorebooks, first and last names must be in score book (whole first and last name – i.e. Connor Thibault, not Connor T. or C. Thibault.) o Kim, Steve and Mike will not be fixing score books o Verifications and verification meetings must be done by managers of the All Star teams o District 4 officials will review your scorebooks, list of players, etc. - but Manager will go to the meeting o If a team is not verified at that first meeting it will not be verified o Kim Sgambato will send out a list of everything All Star Managers will need from parents, prior to the Verification Meeting

Two Mosquito Joe signs need to be picked up; Mike St. Germain and John Levreault can put up Friday morning (one at Hartnett and one at Lajoie) Jimmy Fund dates have been set – tournament will run from Saturday July 29 to Sunday August 20

In the next 24 hours, Managers will get an email requesting their All Star picks, which will include instructions Caden Nickerson is out for the season with an injury; Adam Soucy will come up from the Instructional Division. We have a couple of makeup games we need to get in; one the Minor level and one at the Major level We haven’t heard anything yet from the photographer on when pictures are coming back

Gave Mike St. Germain a key to the concession stand Hot water heater is leaking at Hartnett Field; replacing the tank is typically the League’s responsibility o If the city will agree to do it let them do it; maybe WLL buys the tank, and they’ll install No kids under age 17 in concession stand Amy Thibault will send an email out to Managers reminding them that no one under 17 should be in concession stand area and only one or two people should be running it each night o Minor Managers needs to manage this
