Petro-chemical Plants For non-hazardous areas within a petro-chemical plant the Petrolux II luminaire features a corrosion resistant, low copper aluminum housing having a phosphate pre-treated and polyester powder coat finish as well as the Endural® borosilicate glass. The Petrolux II luminaire is designed and manufactured with superior materials and long life in mind.
Pulp and Paper Mills Available in two sizes, the Petrolux II luminaire was designed to meet a variety of application needs within pulp and paper mills. The low wattage (up to 175MH) luminaire offers a choice of two refractors with three distributions (symmetric, long and narrow, offset long and narrow) and one reflector (open or enclosed). The medium wattage (up to 400MH) luminaire offers a choice of three refractors with three distributions and one closed reflector.
Power Plants Most facility managers of power plants want a luminaire that can be installed and then forgotten about. The Endural borosilicate glass refractors provide excellent thermal shock resistance in all environments. Both the reflectors and refractors provide superior performance, efficiency and visibility. The reflectors and refractors thread on to the ballast housing allowing the optics and the lamp to be easily installed. In response to customer needs for a rugged, non-hazardous rated luminaire, Holophane offers the Petrolux II luminaire.

Complete luminaire shall be Holophane Petrolux II catalog no. _____. Luminaire shall consist of two sub-assemblies, a top and ballast housing (containing the electrical components) and the optical assembly.
STEP 2:
Housing All castings shall be low-copper cast aluminum phosphate pre-treated and coated with electrostatically applied and thermally set powdered polyester paint. The top shall be secured to the housing by a single stainless steel captive screw. The luminaire gasketing shall be of a permanent type tested to withstand the harsh environment found in industrial and outdoor areas. The fixture shall be so designed to prevent any permanent distortion of the gasket assuring the sealing integrity of the ballast housing. Refractor optical characteristics The prismatic refractor shall be of borosilicate glass ___" deep with precisely formed prisms producing a ___ distribution (long and narrow, asymmetrical or symmetrical). The refractor, when fully threaded onto the ballast housing, shall provide an enclosed and gasketed optical assembly. Reflector optical characteristics The enclosed reflector shall utilize a tempered glass roundel secured to the reflector by the aluminum cover. This reflector, when fully threaded onto the ballast housing , shall provide a totally enclosed and gasketed optical assembly. The open and enclosed reflectors shall be spun prismatic borosilicate glass with 1/8" minimum wall thickness with an aluminum cover.
