2017 ALL-STAR COMMITMENT FORM
Dear Parents: The kids have been dedicated to playing baseball for some time and we can see their growth, development, and potential growing game by game. That stated, as a league we are getting prepared for the All-Stars and Post-Season/District Tournaments. All-Star teams will be comprised of players ages 9, 10, 11, and 12. Stamford American All Stars will run from June 1st until July 31, 2017. Participation in All-Stars requires a strong commitment. Players are expected to attend all scheduled practices. Missing practices would be unfair to your teammates, coaches and other potential postseason candidates. Players who do not honor their commitment will be removed from the team and may be ineligible for future All-Star consideration, except for illness or other unforeseen circumstances. Twelve year olds who do not honor their commitment may be ineligible for the SALL Junior Umpire Program. If you and your child can make the commitment from June 1 to July 31, 2017 then please acknowledge such by signing below and returning this form to Stamford American Little League Co-President Nick Montagnese. Please give the form to your child’s manager by Friday, May 19, 2017. The manager will submit it to the president. Only players who make the commitment and who submit this signed form prior to the deadline will be considered for the All-Star Teams. If you and your child cannot make the commitment for All-Stars, there will be summer travel and friendship games that do not require the same level of commitment. Information regarding summer travel games and friendship games will be sent via eBlast and posted on our website and FaceBook Page. I, the Parent or Guardian of _________________________________________realize that while the AllStar team may not advance through District, State or Regional tournaments, I agree to not schedule vacation which will interfere with my ability to have the player attend ALL practices and ALL games during the All-Star period from June 1 to July 31, 2017. I would like my child to be considered for the SALL All-Star Team. 9/10 __________ 11_________ 12________ By not signing and returning this form I acknowledge that my child’s name will not be on the ALL-Star ballot and he/she will not be considered for any ALL-Star team.
