Rules and Regulations Dress code: Appropriate golf attire is required on the golf course and practice areas. Shirttails must be worn in. No denim, cargo bottoms or tennis attire is permitted. Cell phones may be used in the locker rooms and parking lots. Members are responsible for their guests adhering to all clubs policies. Play: A round of golf should be completed in four hours or less. Slower players must allow following players through. All players must check in with the starter before starting their round. All play will commence off the first tee, unless otherwise authorize by the golf shop. Except during tournament play, there are no tee times. The order of play will be determined by the order in which the balls are placed in the ball-rack on the first tee. Tournaments and events take precedence over open play. Annual Prize Fund: All members with a handicap who are eligible to participate in tournaments will be charged $100.

Weekday Play (Tuesday through Friday) Wednesdays mornings are reserved for Women’s Golf Tournaments. Subject to golf course conditions and at the pro shop's discretion, all golfers within the appropriate membership categories may be able to tee off at 9:30 on Wednesdays. Please be sure to check with the pro shop. Weekend Play (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays) Play is reserved until 9:30 a.m. for designated golfers within the appropriate membership categories. Subject to golf course conditions and at the pro shop's discretion, non-designated golfers within the appropriate membership categories will be able to tee off at 9:30 on Saturdays and Sundays. Please be sure to check with the pro shop. Certified juniors may tee off after 12 noon. All other juniors must be accompanied by an adult and may tee off after 2 p.m.

Caddies Members who wish to reserve a caddie must make arrangements with our caddie master. Caddie Master’s office: 914-763-0469 Walking Golfers may walk if they want to do so. Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays players may walk before 12:30 pm but will pay a $25 trail fee for 18 holes. Tournaments Scheduled tournaments and events take precedence over regular play. Players must take caddie or an electric vehicle. Please read the cancelation policy for each event, as there may be a charge for a late cancelation. Non-regular members will be subject to a 25% surcharge on any tournament sign-up fees.
Non-Resident guest fees will be charged 100% of the regular rate, limited to 30 rounds per family per year.

2017 Tournaments The Waccabuc Cup Format: Better Ball – Match Play – 32 teams limit – priority is based on sign-up order. Sign-up: Teams may sign up from April 8th through May 7th – Teams seeded on Saturday after Opening Day Tournament. Round 1completed by June 4th Round 2 completed by July 9th Round 3 completed by September 4th Round 4 completed by September 24th Finals completed by October 1st
Men’s Thursday Night League May 25th through September7th Format: Better ball – match play – 9 holes Sign-up: From April 1st through May 19th Details: Teams compete in a season long points system. $200 team entry fee and cash payout.

April The Masters – Member & Tour-Professional 7:30 a.m. though 3 p.m. Sunday April 9th Live Masters viewing at the Carriage House Format: Aggregate member score + tour players at the Masters score. Sign-up: anytime on Master’s Sunday before 3 p.m. Details: a Waccabuc member will select a professional competing in the last 5 tee-times at the Masters. We will add both scores to post a team score. Players and Members are invited to the Carriage House for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, viewing of the back -nine at The Masters. Pro/Pro Challenge All day on Saturday April 29th Format: Better of two – Blue/White tees - %100 HCP Sign-up: anytime on Saturday the 29th Details: The Head Professional and Assistant golf Professional will play Better Ball Gross against member’s Better Ball Net. Member teams may wager up to $ 200 per team. All wagers get automatically converted into golf shop credit. All putts must be holed out.

Those players who choose to play from the white tees will only be eligible to play the net division. July Mixed Pinehurst Tuesday July 4th - 1:30 pm Shotgun Format: Mixed Pinehurst- Men play from the White tees and Women from the Red tees. Players tee off; they hit each other’s second shots, select the best second shot, and play alternate shot until the ball is holed out. Gross and Net divisions. Sign-up: from June 17th through July 2nd Details: Select your partner and arrange own foursome. The golf shop will pair you up if needed.

Golf shop hours of operation The golf shop will have someone on staff from March 15th though December 1st.

Weekends and holidays: 7:30am – 6pm
Golf course aeration schedule (Golf shop, golf course and practice facilities closed) Spring Fairway Aeration - May 1st and 2nd Fall Fairway Aeration – October 2nd and 3rd The spring green aeration is dependent of the course conditions after the winter as well as the April weather. The fall green aeration will be determined by the weather in the second half of August. There will be a green treatment of ¼” holes on October 2nd and 3rd, followed by granular fertilization to promote root growth that will store the energy necessary to survive the winter. During the winter, the temporary golf course will be available for play on a daily basis and the greens and fairways will be opened dependent on growing weather.
