John 10:10 (NLT) The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. 1. God gave Moses 10 commandments that would position the Israelites to have a great life. 2. God’s Word directs us toward a rich and satisfying life. 3. The foundation of a great life is a dynamic relationship with God. 4. A dynamic relationship with God is founded in a heart of worship. 5. The greatest act of worship is obedience. 6. A worshipper of God will display the right priorities in life. Matthew 6:33 (NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 7. Putting God first requires faithful living. Not legalism but joyful obedience not regulations but a relationship

1. GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY 1. Spend time with God before you spend time with anyone else. 2. Spend time in His Word before you spend time anywhere else. Examples in the Bible;

a. Abraham Genesis 19:27 (NLT) Abraham got up early that morning and hurried out to the place where he had stood in the LORD’s presence. b. Moses Exodus 24:4 (NLT) Then Moses carefully wrote down all the LORD’s instructions. Early the next morning Moses got up and built an altar at the foot of the mountain. He also set up twelve pillars, one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel. c. David Psalm 88:13 (NIV) But I cry to you for help, O LORD; in the morning my prayer comes before you. d. Jesus Mark 1:35 (NLT) Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. 3. Start your day with God.

2. GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK 1.There is great value in regular church attendance. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT) 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. 2. Consider the example of the early church. Acts 20:7 (NLT) On the first day of the week, we gathered with the local believers to share in the Lord’s Supper. Paul was preaching to them, and since he was leaving the next day, he kept talking until midnight.

2. GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLAR 1. Give God honor at the beginning not at the end. Proverbs 3:9-10 (NLT) 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. Romans 12:1 (NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2. Tithing is a matter of the heart. Matthew 6:19-21 (NLT) 19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. 3. Giving creates a spirit of joy because it breaks the grip of greed which can never be satisfied. James 4:7-8 (NLT) 7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Matthew 22:34-39 (NLT) 36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
