Call to Order & Intro: Heather Billing @ 6:30 PM Treasurer Report: Nick Drews o Revenue is progressing as expected with the exception of registration fees (described in previous meetings). Costs are also progressing as budgeted. In MY16-17 there wasn’t as much demarcation around uniform costs between coaches and referees. This year we are doing better to separate those costs out and as a result the budget isn’t as precise in these two categories. One large expense to be prepared for is the annual YSA payment. Last year it was $17K and will show up in the November financials next month. All Stars – David Marshall & 2018 SNT Update Tina Self o AS Events: Team Meeting Tue 11/28 at Laguna MS & a Referee Meeting Thur 11/30 here at 4251 S. Higuera (6-7:30) o 2018 SNT Status: The application has been submitted, Fields secured, and Volunteers are being arranged. The first batch of warm ups have been ordered. A girls 12 C team has been added. This brings the total to 3 girls 12 and 3 boys 12 teams. Only 3 EMTs will be required due to a volunteer taking the 4th spot. Ponchos is lined up to sell as well as the Snow Cones concession tent. Kiwanis will do sandwiches. Fields will be distributed based on the final tally of Boys and Girls team numbers. Coach Administrator - David Marshall o Final Number of Fall Season Coaches Certified/Uncertified. We have full completion of training. Assistant Coaches will need to be certified. o EOS Tournament Results presented to the room. Please see AYSO 599 Website for results. o Security issue described regarding a traffic volunteer and an inappropriate comment by parent. One potential solution for the SNT tournament may be having Grizzly Academy students volunteer. This harassment of parents to staff is becoming an ongoing trend and will require long term attention toward a solution. AYSO 599 has already hired Miller Event Mgmt. for security and may consider expanding this coverage. Registration: James White o How to manage AS Reserve Players & Scholarships: James will put together a one page sheet on how-to instructions for Blue Sombrero All Star registration. o The final tally of players was marked as 1041. Edit 12/2/17: Upon subsequent review this number is 1141. CVPA: Todd Cooper o No update needed Safety: Dina Clark o Unable to attend. Incident Reports – G14U Knee Injury Outstanding Referee Admin and Webmaster: Duane Hall o Referee’s needed for December Area Q Tournaments. Duane will be contacted about which games will need to be refereed. o AS Referee Plan will be completed once teams are finalized o Ideas for more referees: tournament tie breaker considers referee participation. Go out earlier with a message - sending a separate email telling parent that if they want they need to get certified. Equipment: Brad Dolezal o Brad will work on a list of required equipment, including 10U Goals, Goal bags, Corner Flags Regional Commissioner’s Report – Heather Billing o Board Nomination Committee – 2018 Board: A board committee will be put together to select future board members. Specific positions are still pending decisions to renew by current Board members. However, one active position is for Secretary. o Area Q Tournaments: If AYSO 599 referees ref other leagues, they should not wear the AYSO badge. o YSA Meeting: City Park and Rec needs our voice and efforts to fund new fields.
