STEP 1: Write down your values. In order to set your sights on a goal and achieve it, you need to first understand why you want it. A great way to get to your “why” is to get clear on your values. Jot down some of your values below.

STEP 2: Set specific goals. Now that you know your “whys,” how do you want to see those values manifest in your life? It’s important to be specific here. TIP: If you value being calm, you might write “I meditate five days a week for 10 minutes when I wake up.”

1. 2. 3. STEP 3: Get real and give yourself a deadline. Look at your goals and ask yourself, “Does this goal energize me?” “Is it going to move me forward in a meaningful way?” If not, scratch it out in Step #2, and write down your revised goals below. Then give yourself a deadline.

STEP 4: Cultivate your support system. Who are the people in your life that you can lean on for support? Write down their names below. Add a line about how you plan to ask them to help you.
