PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CAMERON DIAS • Rutgers-Newark Sophomore • Outfielder • Madison, NJ/Madison Dias earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .533 (16-for-30) with 11 RBI, two doubles, and four runs scored during a 2-5 week of play for the Scarlet Raiders. He hit safely in all seven games and opened the week by going 2-for-5 with one RBI during a 10-7 defeat to Drew. Just one day later during a 9-4 victory over DeSales, he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, a double, a walk and one run scored. Dias then went a combined 4-for-10 with five RBI, a double, a walk, and one run scored during a 15-13 defeat and 14-3 victory double header split against NJCU. He wrapped up the week by going a combined 6-for-8 with two RBI, a walk, and two runs scored during a pair of losses at Montclair. Dias currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in hits this season (29).

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

BRENDAN STOUT • Richard Stockton Senior • Right-Handed Pitcher • Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Stout earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors after going 2-0 on the mound for the Ospreys this week. He surrendered just two hits and struck out two hitters in two innings of work during a 12-1 victory over Penn State-Brandywine. He then allowed eight hits and just one earned run while striking out six hitters in 6.2 innings pitched during a 3-2 victory in game one of a double header series against William Paterson. Stout currently ranks tied for first in pitching victories this season (4).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

JOE BROOKS • Rutgers University-Camden Freshman • Designated Hitter • Blackwood, NJ/Gloucester Catolic Brooks earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after hitting .471 (8-for-17) with two RBI, a double, two stolen bases, and seven runs scored during a 4-1 week of play for the Scarlet Raptors. He opened the week by going 3-for-3 with a double and a walk during a 7-5 NJAC defeat at No. 3 ranked Kean. Three days later, he went 1-for-2 with an RBI, a walk, and two runs scored during a 15-5 NJAC victory over NJCU. He then went a combined 3-for-7 with two stolen bases and two runs scored during a pair of 8-2 NJAC victories over Montclair. Brooks currently leads the NJAC in batting average this season (.443).

ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MIKE OCCHI • Kean University Freshman • Left-Handed Pitcher • Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough Occhi earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing his first collegiate complete -game victory for the No. 3 ranked Cougars. He surrendered seven hits and only allowed one earned run over nine innings of work, while striking out four in a 2-1 NJAC victory in the second game of a double header series against TCNJ. Occhi currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in earned run average (1.17).
