Information about alternative certification programs will be available. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, have at least 24 hours in their subject area, and a minimum GPA of 2.5.

PERSONAL COMPUTER BUY PROGRAM
• MISD utilizes the State Health Plan – TRS ActiveCare. • District (including state) contribution of $3,192 or $3,564 per year according to plan chosen. • Employee’s cost depends on the specific plan chosen. • Caremark/CVS – Prescription Drugs.
• Employees may purchase a PC or Apple computer from district’s vendors. • Purchase at district cost; pay monthly over two years through payroll deduction. • No interest charged. • Eligible after one year of employment.
MESQUITE EMPLOYEE HEALTH CENTER • Clinic offers basic primary and minor emergency care with a focus on wellness and prevention. • Children are welcome. • Office visits are $10 for MISD employees and their qualified dependents. • Fully functional pharmacy provides low-cost prescription drugs and certain over-the-counter medications at a great savings.
PAY INCENTIVES • MISD offers a variety of professional growth pay incentives. • Bilingual teaching stipend - $3,000/year. • Signing bonus for secondary math and science teachers $3,000 (2-year employment commitment). • Competitive salaries.
