As a major player in the 3D software market, Autodesk had a diverse offering targeted at their prosumer. The Fusion 360 software broadens this offering by targeting a new class of DIY makers. In order to strike a balance between accessible simplicity, expert power and software smarts, the team created a detailed visual strategy and icon design language. Shifting from an old school to new school, the visual design targets novices, experimenters and prototypers without alienating the more serious consumer. A NEW WAY TO INTERACT WITH 3D SOFTWARE.

Simplification wizard: Simulation users now have one button simplification of designs. This makes simplifying common geometry fast and easy and ensures that mesh and solves times are as fast as possible. Ease of use improvements: New marking menus, sketch ease of use and modeling ease of use, make this release of Inventor Fusion the easiest to use yet.
