Section 1 - Background ONI is a B2B service provider based in Lisbon, providing IT solutions such as data centre, cloud computing, security and ICT integration. ONI are primarily focused on corporations, public organisms and International telecommunications operators, serving the SME market with standardized communications packages leveraging their experience of serving large companies. ONI has strongly invested in a unique network infrastructure, which has allowed the company to launch innovative and quality-oriented communications solutions and create an impressive track record of technological innovation. In August 2013 ONI was acquired by Altice Group, which now holds the entire share capital of the company. ONI has as customers some of the regions largest companies including ANA - Airports of Portugal, Portugal Tourism, Travel Abreu in Portugal, and international clients including Verizon Spain and Verizon Portugal and the European Maritime Safety Agency. Section 2 – Problem ONI was looking for a solution with support for a minimum of 30,000 extensions. ONI wanted an IPCentrex / UCaaS solution to deliver services aimed at the corporate market and public administration. ONI Requirements included: Pay as you Grow, centralized management, ability to create virtual IPBX by account (multi-tenant), an intuitive interface, low cost of implementation, resilience and scalability, direct support from the manufacturer, the possibility of custom made settings and customization and the ability to interconnect customer sites. Section 3 – Solution ONI selected ITCenter's Voicis Core solution with Snom IP Handsets. ITCenter's team has multiple certifications, awards and knowledge in Unified Communications and Cloud solutions. The initial offering included a range of Snom handsets including the Snom 7xx series desk phones, the M9 DECT phone for wireless users and the Snom Meeting Point conference phone. It also included use of Snom Vision the Snom software application for Remote Deployment and Management of IP Handsets that enables fully automated remote configuration and ongoing management of the SIP phones.
Section 4 - Benefits TThe solution presented by ITCenter – Voicis Core - allowed ONI to install a redundant and scalable IPCentrex solution, easily customizable, with a clean and intuitive management platform and payment by extension, as the extensions are created/implemented. All this with reduced installation costs, ease of IP Handset deployment and a solution that was easy to monetize and quickly recover their initial investment. Section 5 - Future The Voicis core solution was successfully installed in ONI and has answered to all the needs raised by the operator. Voicis is the basis of the IP Centrex solution ONI is selling to their customers today.
