Each program should review and adjust according to their unique program goals. DESCRIPTION These descriptions are general guidance and may be adjusted to meet individual program needs. Internal coaches will provide Practice Based Coaching to the identified classroom teachers and teams as a means of increasing the adoption of the Classroom Engagement Model philosophy and teaching practices into the classroom. Internal coaches: Participate in Classroom Engagement Model module trainings and Practice Based Coaching training. Participate in Data training regarding all data tools being collected. Participate in monthly Implementation Team meetings. (Only 1-2 coaches per program) Participate in coaching professional development opportunities offered through the MNCoE, such as monthly coaching webinars, coaching training, and other coaching support opportunities. Conduct the Classroom Engagement Model observation tool in each classroom being coached 2x/year. Engage in coaching sessions 2X/month using the Practice Based Coaching framework of observation, goal setting & action planning, and feedback & reflection. Internal Coach will review data in coaching sessions to inform practice. Assist teachers to plan for children who are in need of additional supports and interventions. Assist in locating resources for teachers, when discussed or requested. Collaborate with the external coach (PDF) as often as needed for support/guidance in all coaching duties. Communicate with staff about the Classroom Engagement Model framework and implementation strategies. External coaches (Professional Development Facilitator) will participate in and provide coaching to internal coaches and the Implementation Team to guide implementation of the Classroom Engagement Model through all phases. External Coaches will: Build relationships with program’s implementation team members, including coaches, data manager and teaching staff. Participate in Program Wide Adoption training and module trainings. Participate in monthly Implementation Team meetings. Provide guidance and coaching through implementation of all Critical Elements as documented in the Benchmarks of Quality. Support Implementation Team to use data to inform implementation and practice. Participate in coaching professional development opportunities offered through the MNCoE, such as monthly coaching webinars, coaching training, and coaching support opportunities. Provide coaching to the Internal Coach related to all Internal Coaching responsibilities. By being visibly supportive of the Classroom Engagement Model, administrators will create an environment conducive for success of implementation. Administrators will provide support to all team members when needed, in order to help problem solve and ensure success in their program. Administrators will: Participate in Classroom Engagement Model module trainings and Program Wide Adoption training. Participate in monthly Implementation Team meetings. Provide release time for staff to fulfill their responsibilities for Classroom Engagement Model implementation. Communicate with staff and family members about the Classroom Engagement Model implementation strategies and use of the framework in their program.

DATA MANAGERS
TEACHERS
Data managers will collect, enter, process, analyze, and share data that is provided, in order to assist teachers, coaches, and the Implementation Team in making data-informed decisions throughout implementation of the Classroom Engagement Model. Data Managers will: Participate in Classroom Engagement Model module trainings and Program Wide Adoption training. Participate in Data training regarding all data tools being collected. Participate in monthly Implementation Team meetings. Prepare data reports in advance of meeting and bring reports to meeting to guide data-based decision making. Submit Data to MDE 2x/year. Prepare and provide data to teachers and coaches for use during ongoing coaching sessions. Prepare and provide data to effectively communicate with staff and family members about Classroom Engagement Model implementation, when requested. Classroom teachers will “showcase” the Classroom Engagement Model framework in their classroom, incorporating the strategies and philosophies to promote the engagement, independence and social relationships of all children. Classroom teachers will: Participate in Classroom Engagement Model module trainings; including completing self-reflection on their use of DEC Recommended Practices. Participate in Implementation Team meetings. (Only 1-2 teachers per program) Participate in training on how to use the STARE and the Behavior Rating Scale to monitor progress. Collect and use data on a regular basis in classrooms designated as Classroom Engagement Model data rooms. Participate in coaching sessions with their internal 2X/month. Implement the action steps needed to achieve goals for implementation of the Classroom Engagement Model at fidelity. Communicate with staff and family members about the Classroom Engagement Model implementation strategies and use of the framework in their classroom.
