You may be asked to write a pre-lab the day before a lab activity C. If your pre-lab is not complete on the assigned date you will be unable to work on the lab in class. You will be sent out of the room to complete your pre-lab. You will then have to make arrangements with your instructor to find a time to complete the lab activity.

12. IF THERE IS A FIRE DRILL close containers, turn off gas valves, and unplug electrical equipment. 13.IF A CHEMICAL SHOULD SPLASH IN YOUR EYES FLUSH WITH WATER AT THE EYEWASH STATION.
14. IF A CHEMICAL SPILLS ON YOUR SKIN IMMEDIATELY FLUSH WITH WATER FROM THE SINK OR THE SAFETY SHOWER. – Shower is only for very, very very, large spills!!!
15. WHEN HANDLING CHEMICALS READ LABELS CAREFULLY. ONLY TAKE AS MUCH AS YOU NEED. A. If you take too much see if another group needs some or throw extra away!! 16. All substances are pre-measured for TWO chemistry classes. Be sure to measure out ONLY WHAT IS NEEDED from the classroom set of containers. Then be sure to return the containers back to where you found them. 17. NEVER RETURN UNUSED CHEMICALS TO THEIR BOTTLES—CONTAMINATION WILL OCCUR.
18.NEVER REMOVE LAB materials OR equipment FROM THE LAB! Please don’t take my stuff!!!!
19.DO NOT HANDLE broken GLASSWARE WITH BARE HANDS. Use broom and dust pan. Place broken glassware in trash. 20.DO NOT IMMERSE hot GLASSWARE in cold WATER---- it may shatter.
