We have just finished with Shop-Hop and had so much fun seeing all the traveling visitors! It was fun to show them new techniques and projects while they were here. Now it’s time to try some of those out in class! Bring your friends and spend time connecting with them. You’ll be glad you had time to catch up, socialize and learn something new, at the same time you are being creative!
Geri r Coordinato n Educatio We have so many new items in the shop, you will want to come check out all the great fabric and kits that just arrived. One kit I really enjoyed making was Gravity, a quilt made with Kona cottons. The kit was so well assembled, I was able to take the fabrics right off the top, cut and sew together blocks, and assemble a fabulous quilt top in record time. The quilt looks like it was difficult to piece, but was actually very simple!
Join a class, and you could have fun playing with some of the great rulers we have in the shop to make a new project. Nicole’s original design, Stars in Motion, uses the Crazy Curves templates. We also have the popular Spicy Swirl runner using a wedge, and LuAnn will walk you through Hourglass using the Triangler ruler. Make some great summer projects that are fast and fun to put together. You can pack up everything in the Grab’n’Go Carrying Tote, and piece a fast flowery quilt called KerBloom, or the popular Control Panel. Decorate your table with the cute Blooming Fireworks set, and Scott’s own design, Charming Geese. We will also have a class on the popular Touchdown quilt, which is a great quilt to make in your favorite team’s colors. Brush up on some basic quilting methods with Machine Quilting and Binding Basics classes. You can also learn many different ways to piece basic quilt blocks with the Log Cabin Sampler class. Stretch your imagination and try some different fabric to make this great design.
A fun-filled 2 day Retreat August 7th & 8th, 2015 Meet Sulky National Educator Diane Gloystein who will be teaching an information-packed and fun hands-on retreat. See the store and website for all the details! Take a Class...Earn Class Cash! Everyone profits when they learn, but Country Traditions makes it even more profitable. For every class you take in 2015, you will receive your registration fee back in “Class Cash.” Bring in your completed project from class and receive more Class Cash! Challenge yourself to learn some new quilting techniques. We have a great new Bargello pattern called Morning Melody, and a fun smaller quilt, The Wavelet. Waves of Glory uses a fun technique that makes it looked curved, without the curved piecing. Learn a different paper-piecing technique called picture piecing with Golf, one of Cynthia England’s designs. And Leslie’s great teaching will guide you easily through the stunning Arcadia Avenue quilt. We’re starting to plan new quilts for Christmas in July. We hope you will be able to join us! Then you’ll be ready to get a head start on your holiday sewing. Join us in class to learn the Triple Dresden Tree Skirt and Pocket Long Stockings. Country Traditions Class Policies: Reservations are required for all classes, clubs & events. PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION TO HOLD YOUR PLACE IN CLASS. Complete class supply lists will be given when you register for the class. Classes require three or more students for the class to be held. If the class is canceled by Country Traditions due to low enrollment, your class fee will be refunded. If the class is postponed due to weather the class will be rescheduled. So that we may commit to our teachers, sorry there is NO refund if you cancel. Please check class dates and your own calendar carefully before registering. If an emergency occurs, you can send a friend in your place. A sewing machine is required for most classes, you are welcome to reserve our Classroom Models, please arrive early for class so we can review how it works with you. Due to copyright laws, if the class requires a pattern or book, each student is required to purchase one. Samples of class projects are on display at the store. Students are encouraged to purchase their class project supplies from Country Traditions. Try England Design Studio’s original technique called “Picture Piecing”. It is entirely machine sewn with no set-in angles! This picture size quilt would make a great gift.
This table runner has an interesting take on the Bargello, with it’s little swirl and fun colors! The pattern works great in all color options.
Quickly cut wedges, tumblers and rectangles - NO templates required! Simply cut strips & subcut using the Triangler ruler. It’s a great project to use with fat quarters.
