University of Michigan Athletic Medicine Emergency Action Plan - Cliff Keen Arena Volleyball Venue Venue Address/Directions: Cliff Keen Arena is located at 616 E Hoover Street; the corner of South State Street and Hoover Street, adjacent to Weidenbach Hall (on the east) and the Intramural Building (on the west). Use the North door of Cliff Keen Arena, off of Hoover Street. This door can be accessed from the east by turning west onto Hoover Street from South State Street, or from the west by turning east onto Hoover Street from South Main Street.

Emergency Personnel:  Certified Athletic Trainer and athletic training student (s) on site for practice and competition, additional sports medicine staff available at Canham Natatorium Athletic Training Room, west of the Intramural building at (734)763-6372. Emergency Communication:  Fixed telephone line in Cliff Keen Arena Athletic Training Room (734)763-4034. Emergency Equipment:  AED located in Southwest ramp of Cliff Keen Arena, near the women’s volleyball locker room.  Splints and first aid supplies are located in the athletic training room or courtside; medical kit in athletic training room or courtside. Roles of First Responders:  Provide immediate care of the injured or ill student athlete.  Emergency equipment retrieved, as needed.  Activate the emergency medical system (EMS). Specific instructions for contacting EMS are located by each telephone, and each EMS call is automatically forwarded to the department of public safety.  Direct EMS to scene. An athletic training student or other team personnel will meet EMS at the appropriate entrance and direct them to the scene.  Facility management staff will limit scene to medical personnel and move bystanders away from the area.
