Please send your most innovative thinkers and passionate members to be delegates and join our COMMUNITY SHARK TANK! Through collaboration and innovation, you will have the ability to make an impact on our community’s future. Teams will be tasked to develop an exciting and impactful pilot project addressing one or more of the four priority areas as identified in our 2013 needs assessment study of our local Jewish community - JEWISH POP:

Shark Tank will be held in front of a live audience, highlighting our wonderful Jewish organizations and the potential programs we would like to see developed in our community. Federation will work with all teams to make their presentations as strong as possible and potentially determine other means of funding should a Shark not invest in their proposal.

Engagement/Education Israel Seniors Special Needs

This program is an incredible opportunity designed to foster a culture of collaboration within our community and address our needs. It is an opportunity to chart the course to better our future.

This Shark Tank program has been designed by fellow community members. An outside consultant, Nanette Fridman, Principal of Fridman Strategies, will facilitate the kick-off in January and the live event in June. We hope YOU will take advantage of this opportunity by sending participants! You can send as many delegates as you choose, however, each team must have a delegate from at least one of the following:

Save these dates! January 10: KICK-OFF Delegates are requested to attend our kick-off event. During this time, guidelines will be presented and our consultant will facilitate the process to form teams. March 1: INITIAL PROJECT REVIEW Teams are required to submit a project abstract via email. These will be reviewed blindly by a committee comprised of community members who will provide feedback. Only those that meet all requirements will be approved to move onto the Shark Tank. June 5: LIVE SHARK TANK EVENT Teams will present their ideas to the Sharks. The presentations will be open to the community. We encourage you to promote this event to your members! There will be an optional workshop prior to this date to assist teams in developing their presentations.
