Accommodations: Guests may check in any time after 2 p.m. and must check out by 11 a.m. unless otherwise arranged. Residence halls are not air conditioned. Hard wire Ethernet access is available in sleeping rooms of those who bring their computers (Ethernet cord required). UW wireless access is available in all public areas of campus and is also accessible in west campus guest rooms. Required login and password is issued by the Conference Desk. Microwave ovens, laundry facilities, television lounges and other gathering areas are conveniently located in each residence hall. Guests may deposit funds into their conference card laundry account at the Conference Desk. Residence halls are designed for adult usage, and facilities are not childproof. Adults are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times. Smoking anywhere at the University of Washington is prohibited, including in residence hall sleeping rooms. A list of designated outdoor smoking areas is available from the Conference Desk. Guests 21 years of age and older may consume alcohol only in the privacy of their own sleeping rooms or clusters with the door closed. Minors may not be present in the same sleeping room or cluster where alcohol is being consumed. The University of Washington is a pedestrian campus, and the residence halls are within a ten- to fifteenminute walk of most meeting facilities on campus.
West Campus – Private Bath: Conference guests will reside in double- or single-occupancy rooms with private baths. All rooms are furnished with twin-size beds, desks, night stands, dressers, bedding, towels, a small fan, soap, toilet paper and drinking cups. Telephones providing Conference guests with free local services are available at the Conference Desk. North Campus – Shared Bath: Conference guests will reside in double- or single-occupancy rooms, and all rooms are furnished with twin-size beds, desks, bedding, towels, a small fan, soap and drinking cups. Guests share community, single gender bath facilities and occasionally the appropriate bath facility will be located one floor above or below your room. Telephones providing Conference guests with free local service are conveniently located on each residential floor and at the Conference Desk.
Things to Bring: Guests are advised to bring an alarm clock, lounge wear (appropriate for common living areas), shower slippers, and an umbrella and/or raincoat. Seattle summer weather is generally mild, with temperatures averaging 70–80° F. Heat waves do occur periodically and campus buildings, including the residence halls, are not air-conditioned. Be prepared for cooler evenings and occasional rain showers. For those who prefer to
Transportation: Taxi, limo, town car, and shuttle services are located on the third floor parking garage of Sea-Tac Airport. Reservations made 24 hours in advance are required for shuttle trips returning to Sea-Tac Airport. Parking: A limited amount of parking is available for visitors on campus, and carpooling is strongly encouraged. Availability is limited and not guaranteed. Parking fees are payable upon entrance to the campus and allow guests to enter and exit campus as they please. Parking fees are charged daily on Monday–Friday, and on Saturday from 7 a.m.–12 p.m. (noon). There is no charge to park after 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday through 12 a.m. (midnight) on Sunday, and on UW holidays. Complimentary parking is not available, and rates are subject to change without advance notice. Recreational campers and trailers are not permitted to park in UW parking lots. Disability parking permits or other special accommodations must be arranged in advance through Conference Services. Turn right (north) onto NE Stevens Way, and immediately veer right onto Whitman Court; McMahon Hall, Haggett Hall, McCarty Hall and Hansee Hall (in that order) are on your right.
