Day 5: Embossing Effects Rusting with Distress Powder Technique Steps: 1. Apply Distress Embossing Ink to surface. 2. Shake Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder and cover surface. 3. Remove excess and heat emboss with Heat Tool. 4. Let cool and wipe over surface with hand to remove “release crystals”. 5. Ink over surface with brown Distress Ink using Ink Blending Tool.
Sticky Powder with Glitter Technique Steps: 1. Stamp image with colors of Distress Ink. 2. Immediately cover image with Sticky Embossing Powder. 3. Remove excess and heat emboss with Heat Tool until clear. 4. Immediately cover with Distress Glitter. 5. Remove excess glitter and allow to cool onto Sticky Powder. 6. Wipe remaining glitter off with dry brush.
Sticky Powder with Leafing Technique Steps: 1. Stamp image with Distress Embossing Ink. 2. Immediately cover image with Sticky Embossing Powder. 3. Remove excess and heat emboss with Heat Tool until clear. 4. Immediately cover with pieces of leafing. 5. Tap leafing on surface and allow to cool onto Sticky Powder. 6. Remove excess with dry brush.
Shabby Chic Technique Steps: 1. Begin with black surface. 2. Stamp image with Distress Embossing Ink. 3. Immediately cover image with Clear Embossing Powder. 4. Remove excess and heat emboss with Heat Tool until clear. 5. Paint over embossed surface with Distress Paint and blend. 6. Let paint begin to dry to the touch, but not completely dry. 7. Wipe over embossed areas with damp towel.
Tarnished Silver Technique Steps: 1. Ink surface with Distress Embossing Ink. 2. Immediately cover with Silver Embossing Powder. 3. Remove excess and heat emboss with Heat Tool. 4. Let cool and ink over area again with Distress Embossing Ink. 5. Randomly apply Clear UTEE to inked surface. 6. Heat emboss UTEE which will melt causing the silver to mottle and let cool. 7. Paint with Black Soot Distress Paint and wipe off excess paint while wet.
Chalkboard Technique Steps: 1. Begin with black surface. 2. Stamp image with Distress Embossing Ink. 3. Immediately cover image with Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder. 4. Remove excess and heat emboss with Heat Tool until clear. *Do Not Overheat! 5. Let cool and scribble over entire area with white school chalk. 6. Rub the chalk in with your finger.

Distress Embossing Ink Pad (SSS) Stamps/Rubber or Clear (SSS) Other: Plain White School Chalk, Black Tags
