Job Description – MYC4 Capacity Building Coordinator The Job: Fundraising • Take over existing donor relationships • Mapping of potential donors worldwide matching the MYC4 visions (public & private) • Making applications to selected donors • Reporting back to donors (activities, impact assessment, accounts) • Work out a funding strategy/business model for the coming years Content Management • Establish a catalogue of modules/activities offered in line with market needs (including a module for integrating the model of MyC4 into new partner institutions - tailor made solutions should also be an option). • Mapping of suppliers in each market (by region and specialty) – distinguish micro and SME • Screening and selection of supplier/vendor partners + price & term negotiation • Quality assurance of suppliers/vendors services/output by attending activities in the field and establishing a quality feedback system • Responsible for keeping the offering updated and suited to the market demand any time Needs assessment • In collaboration with MYC4 partners to identify and describe the need of capacity building in their own organizations as well as amongst the business entrepreneurs Planning and implementation of activities • Take over management of existing pilot program • Plan and time capacity building activities in accordance with suppliers and recipients’ availability and needs as well as MYC4’s priorities Coordination with MYC4 Risk Management and Regional Cluster Management • Identify and prioritize needs of CB after consulting the MYC4 Risk Manager and the MYC4 Regional Cluster Leaders • Accommodate urgent requests for immediate and specific training suggested by the Risk Manager and Cluster Leaders Development of the MYC4 CBP business model • Define policy for CB towards partners • Set up at business plan for the short, medium and long term • Come up with proposal for legal status (NGO or for-profit ?) and time to spin-off • Consider new CB activities or target groups which could be added to the program

The ideal Candidate • Experience from fundraising activities • Experience with and understanding of Microfinance • Experience from training and capacity building activities • Experience with building and quality supervising a network of suppliers • Able to travel extensively in donor countries as well as recipient countries in Africa • Entrepreneurial flair and willingness to take ownership • Personal teaching/training experience an advantage • Self-motivating and independent • Both conceptual skills and attention to detail • Structured and administrative abilities • Sales/communications and people skills • Extensive working capacity/drive • Geographic location preferably in Africa or Europe Please send your CV and short application explaining your interest briefly in the body of your email to [email protected] asap and no later than March 1st 2009.
