Dr. Luis Arturo Davila is making a difference in Acuna, Mexico, as a Texas Baptists River Ministry Missionary. Luis is a practicing medical professional working two full-time jobs, who still finds time to lead a Bible study and take two weekends a month to head River Ministry mission endeavors in Acuna. River Ministry provides medical assistance to people through the generous servanthood of Luis and others. By partnering with local churches, Luis and his volunteers provide activities for children, life-skills classes, and medical attention. It is through this multi-faceted effort that many receive physical assistance and are introduced to the Gospel. Local churches provide follow-up and encouragement for those who surrender their lives to Christ. Pray that the people who have physical needs met would see the love of Christ behind the medical attention they receive. The efforts of River Ministry are made possible through the Cooperative Program, which our church excitedly supports.
