Approach and exposure
Perform initial resection of humeral head
Select trial head size
Open medullary canal
– Select the trial head size to match the resected humeral head
– Use the cylindrical rasp to open the humeral shaft
– Lesser tuberosity osteotomy approach, tendon off bone, or transection approach
– Release the supraspinatus, infraspinatus and teres minor – Release the inferior capsule
– Start osteotomy at the most medial insertion line of the supraspinatus – Medial resection slightly above anatomic neck line
– Expose proximal humerus

Insert rasp size 6
Determine retrotorsion
– Insert the size 6 rasp into the canal
– For first approximation use median retrotorsion of 25°
– For fine tuning, use the distance between the deepest point in the bicipital groove and the rasp center line of approximately 8 mm

Insert trial stem
Perform definitive anatomic neck resection
Attach trial eccenter to trial stem
Lock trial eccenter
– Align the letter “A” on the trial eccenter with the proximal line on the trial stem
– Lock the eccenter in place using the 2.0 mm hex screwdriver in the proximal hole
– Thread the inserter/extractor into the proximal hole of the selected trial stem – Insert the trial stem into the canal
– Use the proximal surface of the trial stem as a cutting guide for anatomic neck resection

7 Perform rasping and insert trial stem – Continue rasping with incrementally larger sizes

Attach trial head and record offset
Remove trial implants and assemble implant
Press eccenter
Press head
– Rotate the head and eccenter until the ideal head position is reached, using the 2.5 mm hex screwdriver in the proximal hole – Note the position of the head, eccenter, and stem
– Place the stem implant in the corresponding stem holder
– Place the assembly in the press and position the eccenter impactor over the eccenter
– Place the head and stem assembly in the press

Implant prosthesis and reattach lesser tuberosity
Stable reattachment of subscapularis
– Cemented or pressfit
