ESOI Spring Workshop 2014 State-of-the-Art Imaging of Colorectal and Anal Cancers May 8-9, 2014
Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to welcome you to the ESOI Spring Workshop 2014, which is taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from May 8-9, 2014. This workshop focuses specifically on colorectal and anal cancers, using a combination of lectures and interactive clinical cases, spanning morphological (US, CT, MRI) as well as functional/molecular imaging (PET/CT, PET/MRI, diffusion and perfusion imaging). Educational needs / goals The course is structured in state of the art lectures and interactive workshops covering the same topics. Sufficient number of cases will be discussed allowing for the participants to familiarize themselves with everyday pathology. Aim of the course is for the participants to gain in depth knowledge in lower GI cancer imaging for reporting and attending specialized MDT meetings. Outcomes and learning objectives -
To learn about latest imaging guidelines for staging, including structured reporting, of colorectal and anal cancers. To learn how to assess response to various treatment options and become familiar with post treatment appearances and complications. To understand the role of functional CT/MRI as well as PET-CT in colorectal cancer imaging.
