Executive Principal for Bushey St James Trust & Headteacher of Bushey Meads School On behalf of the Board of Trustees and our school Governors, we want to thank you for your interest in applying for the post of Executive Principal of our Academy Trust and Headteacher of Bushey Meads School. The Bushey St James Trust is a recent innovation comprising two successful schools, one primary and one Secondary, coming together as a single Academy Trust with a clear aim – to provide an outstanding level of education for the children in our community. Like our students, we are young and ambitious. We are based in South West Hertfordshire, close to the border with London. Bushey is a village with a strong sense of community, and with extensive road and rail connections to London and the surrounding towns. Following the promotion of our current secondary Headteacher to the headship at a larger school and the retirement of our primary Headteacher, the Trustees are delighted to be able to advertise this important post. A unique and exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate as we look for a leader who can develop and expand our Trust, while at the same time continuing to deliver outstanding results as the Headteacher of Bushey Meads School. Both schools have undergone recent OFSTED inspections, with both schools assessed as “Good with Outstanding Features”. Furthermore, Bushey Meads School is currently working with Hertfordshire Local Authority on an option to expand the school which will require the immediate attention of the new appointee.
Both schools have a highly valued, committed and hard-working teaching and support staff, Trustees and Governors who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and students. This post is open to individuals with headship experience and proven leadership skills, who can demonstrate a clear vision and have the ability to manage a dynamic and diverse team across the Trust. Above all, we are looking for an outstanding individual and leader who can share in and develop the Governors’ and Trustees’ strategic vision.
