Financial Sanctions Notice

Mali Introduction 1. On 5 September 2017, the United Nations Security Council (“UNSC”) imposed restrictive measures in view of the specific threat to international peace and security posed by the situation in Mali, and established a Sanctions Committee through UNSC Resolution 2374 (2017) to propose listings. 2. On 28 September 2017, Council Regulation (EU) 2017/1770 (“the EU Regulation”) imposed an asset freeze on individuals and entities, identified by the UNSC or the Sanctions Committee as meeting the criteria set out in Article 2(3) of the EU Regulation. The individuals and entities subject to an asset freeze are included in Annex 1 of the EU Regulation. 3. At the date of this Notice, no individuals or entities have been included in Annex 1 of the EU Regulation.
