Getting Started with Stage 2 The abaqis Stage 2 suite allows you to conduct investigations into care areas that triggered from your Stage 1 assessments. The Stage 2 snapshot shows all the care areas that trigger for a single facility within the date range of your choice. All users of the same facility that have access to Stage 2 share the same facilityspecific snapshot.
Creating a Stage 2 Snapshot If a Stage 2 snapshot has not yet been created for your facility, click "Create Snapshot" in the Stage 2 section of the abaqis dashboard.
If your facility already has a snapshot, but you would like to archive it and create another one, click Stage 2 Details from the abaqis dashboard. Now, click Create Snapshot in the top right corner of the screen.
Enter the snapshot details: 1. Name your snapshot (Example: “Q3 2014”) 2. Choose the Start Date and End Date of the Stage 1 data you’d like to investigate 3. Click Continue Copyright © Providigm, LLC. 2016

Click Continue to review the snapshot details, then click Save Snapshot when you are finished. To make a change, click the Back button.
Using the Stage 2 Snapshot Once your snapshot is saved, the Stage 2 section of your abaqis dashboard will show the following: ● Red circles mark the care areas that triggered for investigation. ● Risk is the probability of an actual QIS Stage 2 investigation. ● The flag icon is the number of residents with negative responses for each care area. ● The filled circle icon is the number of residents with a completed investigation. ● The halffilled circle is the number of residents with a partially completed investigation. ● Dashes appear for care areas that are conducted taskbytask rather than residentbyresident. Progress and Status Indicators In the example below, the screen for the Hydration investigation shows a list of all the residents with negative responses. Click an investigation section (Assessment, Care Planning, Provision of Care, and Related Requirements) to see the instructions and Ftag questions for that section. ● Empty circles : Sections that have not been started ● Full circles : Sections that are complete ● Halffilled circles : Sections that are partially complete ● Red circles : Your responses indicated noncompliance ● Green : Your responses did not indicate noncompliance Note: Residentlevel investigations will show a list of residents, as shown below. Facilitylevel investigations will show a list of tasks.
Guidance to Surveyors In the Comprehensive Assessment section below, there is a further breakdown into tabs. The first tab always contains one or more Ftag questions, which is the final step for determining compliance. You must complete the other tabs in the section before you can adequately answer the Ftag questions. Copyright © Providigm, LLC. 2016

Always enter comments when you answer no (noncompliance) to an Ftag question. Comments appear in the Response History as well as the Stage 2 reports. Make sure to click Save after answering each Ftag question.
Granting Users Stage 2 Access Adminlevel users can grant other users two levels of Stage 2 access. ● Stage 2 Investigations : permission to navigate Stage 2, answer Ftag questions and run Stage 2 reports. By itself, this access level cannot create snapshots. ● QA Admin : permission to create Stage 2 snapshots. When this is checked, Stage 2 Investigations will automatically be checked.
