VBS Meeting October 9th This past year Northwest held a VBS on July 11-14. It was a great success! This is all thanks to the many volunteers who came and ran stations, watched the kids, and put hours of work to make it happen. While it was a success, this doesn’t mean there aren’t things to improve for next year. This is why on October 9th, immediately following services, we will be holding a
VBS meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to go over this last VBS and see what can improved on for next year. This was my first time ever running a VBS, so I’m sure I have a lot of things to improve upon. We will also be getting some tentative plans ready for next year. This way we will be more prepared and the kids will have an even better time than this year.
So if you helped with VBS, please come to the meeting! See you there! Ryan Martin
Harding Homecoming Trip! As requested, we will be taking another trip to Harding this month. This will be from October 27-30.
This trip is for juniors, seniors, and college students interested in checking our Harding. Jill Humes and I will be the chaperons.
Please sign up ASAP! Since this is homecoming, we need to buy tickets! By Ryan Martin

Youth Spotlight Elliana Techie

gregation will get to know them a little better. This month’s youth spotlight goes to the Elliana Techie. She may be young, but Elliana sure knows how to light up a room. At VBS this year she was one of my most enthusiastic helpers. She always brings joy to the congregation whenever she gets up to help sing a song. One of her favorite songs is “If You Love Jesus.” I can safely say that Elliana does, and
Trunk ‘n Treat!
she helps me love Jesus even more.
Normally this section of the HOF bulletin is dedicated to what we’ve done the previous month. Well since there are so many things going on this month, I decided to give Trunk ‘n Treat the spot! Trunk ‘n Treat is a great opportunity for fellowship and fun. This is our Halloween celebration. Everyone decorates their car and dresses up. We gather in the parking lot and let the neighborhood kids come through and get candy in a safe environment. Last year was my first year, and it was a lot of fun. This year I know will be just as successful. If you have questions about Trunk ‘n Treat, please ask Karel Muerhing. If not, then sign up on the sign up sheet today! The more the merrier! Happy October! Ryan Martin All pictures are taken from Facebook
