Long-term business partnerships Help make our recruitment consultancy self-sustaining Our five-year business plan is ambitious. We are aiming to build a sustainable model to support our recruitment services. This is reliant on building long-term partnerships with businesses that will hire from us and support us in many other ways. Can you introduce us to 10 HR or CSR directors so that we can start to build relationships with them?
Mentoring scheme Can you help us build a new CSR mentoring programme? Often described as ‘life coaches’, our team provides tailored support to candidates on issues as diverse as parenting, housing and money management. This kind of personal support for women with convictions or care leavers can transform their individual wellbeing and their potential to thrive in a stable, quality job. To build on our flourishing partnerships with forward-thinking employers, we are piloting a CSR mentoring scheme that could enable many more of our candidates to realise their full potential and help them rehabilitate into mainstream society. All of this whilst providing employers with an opportunity for cost-effective staff development and engagement. Can you help us get this off the ground?
Fundraising support Enable us to keep changing lives and reach more women Working Chance receives no government funding – we work hard to raise funds year on year that enable us to help as many women as possible. Can you introduce us to prospective donors who you think would empathise with our work? Would you or any of your contacts like to take part in fundraising challenges and events to raise money for Working Chance? We are also keen to hear about opportunities to apply for CSR funding, where our work fits well with the focus of specific CWN member companies. You can also help us by sponsoring or supporting our fundraising events. Working Chance, Claremont Building, 24-27 White Lion Street, London N1 9PD 020 7278 1532,

#InHerShoes Join us in celebrating 10 years of Working Chance In 2019, we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary and are developing a cross-platform PR campaign to celebrate this milestone. The idea: To partner with a high-profile photographer and shoe designer to produce a portrait story of 10 powerful women. The women will be photographed and filmed wearing the shoes and telling their personal stories. We are seeking women from across society to take part, including from the political, cultural, business and media worlds. Some of the women will be from our alumni of candidates. Can you help us bring this to life? We need contacts and ‘approaches’ to a number of personalities.
Training opportunities Improve diversity and inclusion in the workplace Working Chance is committed to improving social mobility, diversity and inclusion in the workplace – this is key to ensuring that the women we work with can move beyond lives of exclusion to lives of contribution. Is your organisation interested in learning how to have more diverse and inclusive workplaces and hiring practises? For a fee, we can deliver training to your staff on these issues – using our years of specialist knowledge and experience.
Pro bono support Lend your expertise to help marginalised women Would you be interested in using your professional skills and experience for a good cause? The generosity of our supporters in providing pro bono support is key to our success. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals wishing to offer this support in the areas of Legal and PR work.
Publicity Help us raise our profile and impact The more employers and referral partners who know about our work, the more women we can help. Can you help us raise our profile and deliver key messages? This could be through media coverage, blogs, social media, contacts in the media, etc. Help us spread the word!
