His family was very important to him and he was very proud to be Grumps to his granddaughter, Stella. Survivors include his son, Jonathon Bekker, Greencastle, IN; daughter, Ivy (Cody) Shoultz, Davenport, IA; parents, Jerome and Barbara, Mokena, IL; granddaughter, Stella; brothers, Jeb (Christa) Bekker, Canton, MI, Brad Bekker, Mokena, IL; sister, Barbara (Helen Bowen) Flassig, Stover, MO; many nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Laurie Hayes, Bloomington.
