ISTEP+ Part I: February 27-March 10 The two-week window for Part I of the 2017 ISTEP+ Feb. 17- Hall of Fame Night state-mandated testing will begin on Monday, Feb. 20- President’s Day February 27 and end on Friday, March 10. There Feb. 24 Spotlighter’s will be a Part II during April/May. The ISTEP+ Community Night Grade 10 assessment is extremely important for the Class of 2019 (current sophomores) because it Feb. 24-25- Spotlighter is their Graduation Qualifying Exam. Therefore, Invitational students must pass the math and English portions Feb. 27- Mar. 10- Part One of of the ISTEP+ to be eligible for graduation. If a ISTEP Testing student does not pass this spring, they have Mar. 9-10- Spring Plays opportunities to retake during their junior and Mar. 11- SAT Testing at senior years. Our teachers have been working diligently to prepare our students to be successful Mooreville High School on these exams. Our testing schedule for Part I is: Mar. 14- Winter Sports · February 27-28: All sophomores take the Awards Banquet Math Portion · March 1-3: All sophomores Area 31’s Outstanding take the English Portion · March 6: All students in Students Biology take Science Portion This quarter three Mooresville High · March 7-10: Make-up days for School students were chosen as the students who were absent Area 31 students of the quarter. Members of Spotlighters are working hard to prepare themselves for this year’s competition. They have been rehearsing their show since last July and cannot wait to get the chance to cherish the fun while it lasts. Senior Jessie Bennett said, “It’s exciting but also sad because it’s been a really great experience to be a part of,” when asked how she feels about taking part in her last Spotlighter Invitational. The Spolighter Invitational will be held at MHS on February 24 and 25. Community night will be on the 24 with the competition beginning the following day. Congratulations to the Class of 2018 IASP Rising Stars of Indiana award winners. Each year the Indiana Association of Principals is allowed to choose up to four 11th grade students from each Indiana high school based on their academic achievements. This year MHS juniors Jacob Allen, Kate Disney, Teehan Raymond, and Garrett Sanders (Not Pictured) were chosen to represent our school.

The 2017 Winter Homecoming Court stands for a picture after receiving their crowns. This year’s winners included King and Queen winners Shad White and Abby Mann and Prince and Princess winners Jon Eineman and Isabella Haggard. “The experience was both surprising and exciting, but I was super happy to be able to experience it with one of my best friends, Shad White,” Mann said.
