Attendees: Johnny Gill, Phil Sinn, Mary Boehm, Rachelle Gill, Jay Schlosser, Lisa Schlosser, Melissa Guebert, Terese Pickrain, Jill Petersen, Natalie Pueschner, Aimee Stark, Karen Opatz and Michele Barry Canes Rep – Chris Worsham Confirmed Canes Challenge Win 50+ points “Buy one get one fee” box offer for those who bring specific game player sheets Talked about changing the half time event to match what the boys offer Draw eight names ( 4 boys and 4 girls) Participants see how many free throws can be made in 5-8 minutes Winner shoots a half court shot (1 boy and 1 girl) Prize is free “CANES” food for a year Canes Fundraiser Flyers are sent out advertising Canes fundraiser Tuesday or Thursday nights work best Once a month or every three weeks works best 15% would go back to program Would need to verbally let cashier know that person is with Eastview Girls Basketball or could wear an Eastview shirt Canes serve as a sponsor for a player who makes the Senior All-Star Team Chris will need to check to see if Canes can do this Possible option is to have Canes do a fundraiser Canes would match any money brought in Chris will send the logo to Lisa Schlosser so it can be put on our website. Coach Guebert Posters Coach Guebert has a cd which contains the poster picture Craig Wilson will be using it for EVAA night Anyone wanting to use the cd should contact Coach Guebert We have extra posters Please let Coach Guebert know if there is an establishment where we can hang the poster Fundraiser (free throws and community service) Collected $5,065 – to date JV/Varsity had 96 of 216 returned 9th/10th grade had 80 of 252 returned Johnny Gill will let Coach know the number of thank you notes needed Players will write the thank you notes to donors

Feed My Starving Children (January 17th from 12-2) Practice will be from 9-11 Players will eat pizza at 11:00 (provided by the Booster Club) Drivers (Johnny, Rachelle, Terese, Karen and Michele) will bring players to FMSC Teacher Appreciation (January 28th) Players selected someone from ISD 196 Recipient will be given a $5 gift card Phil will take pictures and develop them Frames will be purchased for the pictures Players will hand deliver the picture Run with the Lightning Need another date from Joan Beckman instead of Feb 1 Possibly Feb 12th Will need to send out flyers and order t-shirts EVAA GIRLS Shot Club presentation night will be February 11th EVAA Pizza Night for Traveling & In-House will be February 21st Craig will get individual pictures printed on one page for players to sign Senior Night will be February 25 Seniors will be presented with their gifts Will purchase big heads for the 3 seniors and 3 team managers Treasurer Mary Boehm reviewed the financials Need to add additional 9th grade coach and buses to financials Special Board Meeting A special board meeting was held to discuss whether busing should be provided Board of Directors Voted to go ahead with buses for this year Roundtrip for 9th & 10th Grade teams…..One-Way for JV/Varsity Cost will be $1,000 - $1,200 Coffee Fundraiser 2013 - 25 players participated for a total of $1,176 2012 – 33 players participated for a total of $1,780 To do Next Year! Communicate total cost of program so parents understand the total cost of program and the purpose of fundraisers to support Boys program discusses the cost of the program and dollars needed from fundraisers during the parent meeting

PAK party (January 31, 2014 after the varsity game) All parents, siblings and players are invited RSVP due to your parent reps by January 27th Main meal is provided by the Booster Club Each player contributes based on their team by bringing the following: 9th grade team – Case of Aquafina water or Gatorade (20oz) 10th grade team – Dessert ( 3 dozen per player, no peanuts) JV/Varsity team – Salad (Should serve 8 people) TO DO Set a date to review all fundraisers to be held during the basketball season Ideas include QuikTrip Received $150 for adding the US Bank logo to our game roster Consider looking at adding other sponsors to our roster Games Johnny presented Moriah and Isabella Caribou gift cards to thank them for singing the national anthem Rally towels will be thrown out at half time or by the EVAA Travel Players prior to introductions Scholarships The Booster Club will contribute to two scholarships and the Sheridans will provide one. These are available to a current senior basketball player. Web Site Lisa Schlosser recommended getting rid of our current domain and moving to the new site. One of the benefits of the new site is that items can be archived Sign to advertise games Phil will purchase a sign ($200-$300) which can be put near the road advertising the home games. Apple Valley game Boys and girls programs will split concessions Wanted to pool the money and donate it to a charity Boys program is still considering this option at this time New Board Members needed for 2014/2015 season Please let parent reps or Johnny Gill know if you are interested Descriptions will be emailed Meeting adjourned …next meeting Sunday, February 9th at 7:00pm
