Using the Junxure PortfolioCenter Import Wizard ‐ PortfolioServices

Introducing: Junxure PortfolioCenter® Import Wizard Integrating the data between Junxure and your Portfolio Management System (PMS) not only allows you to streamline your processes but also enables you to provide your clients with top‐ tier customer service by making their information easily accessible. With Junxure version 8.7, integration with PortfolioCenter data just got easier. Use the PortfolioCenter Import Wizard daily to import PortfolioCenter Positions, Accounts and Fees into Junxure. This import should only be completed after downloading the current file from PortfolioServices by Schwab Performance Technologies®. These instructions will help PortfolioServices customers set up the Junxure PortfolioCenter Import Wizard.

Complete the PortfolioCenter import process To begin: 1. Launch the PortfolioCenter Import Wizard. Select Database Tools > Interfaces from the left menu in Junxure. Double‐click PortfolioCenter Import Wizard under the Available Interfaces tab.
2. On the splash screen. Click Next.

3. Click to choose a configuration in the left column that you want to import. (In this example, PC Sample Dataset). In the Import Mode field, use the drop down to select Hosted PortfolioCenter.
4. In the Directory field, click the Browse icon to locate your XML Export file from PortfolioServices.
5. Click Save and Close on the Import Settings screen.

6. Click Next.
7. On the Select XML File screen, select the import file that you downloaded from PortfolioServices into the folder specified on the previous screen.
6. Click Next. Your system will begin processing the data.

7. Click Next when the processing is complete.
The accounts from the export data will appear in the Junxure PortfolioCenter Import Wizard in a temporary location. You must move these accounts into Junxure before you are able to edit them.

10. On the next screen, select what information you want to import by clicking the Edit Fields to Update button.

11. Check the boxes on this screen to update the fields in Junxure with the data in the PortfolioCenter database. To save your changes, Click Save Changes. Note: Click View Field Map to preview where your data will be viewable in Junxure (See Appendix for more information). 12. Click Next to continue.

13. The import begins processing. When complete, click Next to continue.
The final step is to look at the missing account list, and add any accounts that need to be in Junxure to the appropriate clients. Click Finish once you have dealt with all missing accounts.
You have completed the import process.

Optional Step: Adding Accounts This step is performed on the View Missing Accounts form mentioned in Step 13. If you would like to add accounts to a client that exists in Junxure, choose from two options: Option 1: Click Accounts > Add by Client. This option is manually done by the user account by account. Add by Client is useful if no SSN matches your search. For this option, select the account from the search results that appear in the grid and select Add by Client. Option 2: Click Accounts > Add by SSN. This option is automated by Junxure for all missing accounts. Add by SSN will attempt to auto‐match accounts to clients by locating a client’s social security number entered into both Junxure and the PortfolioCenter database. Note: Not all accounts may match.
Note: If you double‐click an account, you will be prompted to exclude the account from the list (see Optional Step: Adding Exclusions below). Click Yes to exclude the account, click No to add by client. When choosing Accounts > Add by Client, this screen opens.
1. Type the client’s last name into the Search for Last Name field. 2. Select the client from the search results by clicking once on the name. 3. Click Add Account to Selected Client. Power User Tip: To change the default behavior of a double‐click, change the Double‐click: Prompt setting on the toolbar to Double‐click: Add by Client or Double‐click: Exclude Account. You have completed the import process.

Optional Step: Adding Exclusions This step is performed on the View Missing Accounts form mentioned in Step 13. There may be closed accounts in the PortfolioCenter database that you do not want to appear on the Missing Accounts list. To exclude these accounts: 1. Select the account and then click Exclusions > Exclude Selected Account.
Note: If you double‐click an account, you will be prompted to exclude the account from the list. Click Yes to exclude the account, click No to add by client (see Add by Client above for details). Power User Tip: To change the default behavior of a double‐click, change the Double‐click: Prompt setting on the toolbar to Double‐click: Exclude Account or Double‐click: Add by Client. 2. You may also view and edit your list of currently excluded accounts by clicking Exclusions > Edit Exclusions. 3. If you want to remove the excluded account number, click Remove Selected Exclusion. This will again include these accounts in the “View Missing Accounts” grid.
4. Once you finish managing your accounts, click Finish and the wizard will close. Your import is complete. Note: If you have multiple PortfolioCenter datasets or databases to import you can run the PortfolioCenter Import Wizard again with a different configuration.
