PSE&G Solar 4 All Program ($515MM Investment) PSE&G to invest in, own, operate 80 MW of grid-connected solar systems by collaborating with experienced solar developers, installers and manufacturers to develop projects.  Solar at Urban Enterprise Zones (5MW)  Providing universal access to under served areas.

 Solar on PSE&G sites (25 MW)  Use existing sites.

 Solar on third party owned sites (10MW)  brownfields, non-profit-owned real estate, and underdeveloped real estate, with dependence on the market to develop projects.

 Neighborhood Solar (40MW)  Solar units attached to utility poles and street lights in neighborhoods throughout PSE&G’s service territory.

Implement program using allhand-on-deck strategies creating good paying jobs and providing customers solar energy

Hiring ~ 22 solar developer firms, prevailing wage installers, contract-employees, and other disciplines to execute project

Energy & Capacity sold to PJM wholesale market.



Generates SRECs, eligible for ITC, both returned to utility customers.



Creates green jobs at prevailing wages

• PSE&G awarded Petra Solar, a NJ based manufacturing company, to provide smart solar units for pole attachment. • Petra Solar hired 100+ employees in order to deliver the targeted units on a weekly bases and expanded its manufacturing facilities in NJ. • PSE&G used utility line workforce to initially install units and supplemented installation with the hire of a NJ based electrical contractor. Together with hired pole ` inspectors, the project created another 100+ jobs. • The following slides provided Petra Solar to described the technology being deployed. 8

Can the Vision become real? Will need regulatory support and vigilance to deploy such a vision. To achieve success we must move from pilots to aggressive initiatives and invest in facilities and systems in ways that demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable future. It will take a paradigm shift!
