Council Bluffs Schools   Camp Summer Explore   Middle Level Program   

The Middle Level Summer Camp is hosted at the Henry Doorly Zoo. It is a day camp  full  of  integration  and  investigations.  We  are  excited  to  have  another  fantastic  summer full of enthusiastic kids and awesome zoo experiences.      General Information  ● Camp runs from 8:15A.M. to 2:15 P.M.  ● There will be two sessions. Students can register for one session ​or BOTH!   o Session 1: June 12th-June 30th, Monday-Friday   o Session 2: July 10-July 28th, Monday-Friday   ● Your child will be picked up and dropped off at the express stop you  choose on the registration form, and then transported to and from the  Henry Doorly Zoo.   What is a typical day camp like?  ● Each  day  camp  is  slightly  different.  Generally,  each  camp  includes hands-on  experiences with bio-facts (bones, pelts, etc.), science activities, projects, and  trips  to  other  community  venues  such  as  Hot  Shops  Art  Studio,  Fontenelle  Forest,  and  Lauritzen  Gardens.  Students  will  be  working  to  discover  their  community,  how  our  environment  affects  us  and  how  we  affect  it,  and  that  learning is everywhere!
