MINUTES OF THE CLASSIFIED PERSONNEL POLICY COMMITTEE August 10, 2016 MEMBERS PRESENT: Jewelette Courtney, Charles Robinson, Geraldine Rowdy, Mary Snowden MEMBERS ABSENT: Natasha Briggs, Pamela Key Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Jewelette Courtney. Ms. Courtney gave a brief update of Reduction in Force (RIF) issue. It was noted that Ms. Courtney and Ms. Snowden have been working with the district administrators in making sure that our RIF Policy is being followed. The following concerns were discussed: CONTRACTS: At the time of meeting, a date for distribution was not known. It was reinforced by Ms. Courtney to members present that the group of employees you represent are to come to you first with their concerns, questions, etc. Then each representative can bring those concerns or questions to the committee for discussion if they need help in resolving the issue. The committee was informed by Chairperson Courtney that Superintendent Robinson would like for the Policy Committees (Classified and Certified) to look at the State Personnel Policies and compare with our District Personnel Policies in considering the merging of policies. Policies were assigned as follow: Courtney – Personnel Salary Schedule; Personnel Evaluations; Personnel Reduction in Force; Personnel Contract Return; Personnel Terminations and Renewals; FMLA Robinson – Personnel Sick Leave – Option A and B; Personnel Bus Driver End of Route Review; Personnel Sick Leave Bank Rowdy – Personnel Personal and Professional Leave; Personnel Vacations Snowden – Personnel Grievances; Personnel Level 2 Grievance Form Meeting was adjourned.
