NEW MATERIALS AND PASTEL HUES INSPIRE THE NEW CONVERSE COLLECTIONS New Sneaker Collections Celebrate Easter with Breathable Materials and Fun Pastel Colors BOSTON, MASS. (February 25, 2016) – Playing on both materials and colors synonymous with Easter, Converse brings the spirit of the season to two new footwear collections. Offering another innovative take on the forward-thinking Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II, Converse introduces the breathable Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Easter Basket, as well as a pastel colored Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Easter Egg collection with detailing inspired by the spring season. Chuck II Gets an Easter Update The Chuck II Easter Basket collection elevates the Chuck II silhouette in a canvas weave structure that allows for optimal breathability. A basket weave upper allows air to flow through in the warmer months and a minimally lined interior makes for a lightweight sneaker, while a two-tone lacing detail provides an added style element. In addition, the collection has all the innovative comfort aspects of the Chuck II, including a padded and non-slip gusseted tongue. It is offered in black and natural with a pink or mint pastel pop of color along the interior walls of each sneaker and in the Nike Lunarlon sock liner.
Spring Looks Good on You, Chuck The Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Easter Egg fuses the fun and playfulness of the holiday into the iconic Chuck ’70 sneaker. With intricate – though subtle – color embroidery on the heel strip and complementary multi-color patterned laces, the collection is offered in off-white and baby blue colors. The sneaker is also executed in a supple nubuck leather that has been brushed for softness, providing a stylish sneaker for anything from an egg hunt to Sunday brunch.
Both footwear collections will be available starting Friday, February 26 at Converse retail stores, Converse.com and third party retailers. The Chuck ’70 Easter Egg will retail for a suggested price of $95-100 USD with the Chuck II Easter Basket will be priced at $110 USD. ## About Converse Converse Inc., based in Boston, Massachusetts, is a wholly owned subsidiary of NIKE, Inc.
