Now Accepting Applications for the 2017 Wildland fire season
The Rocky Mountain Fire District is looking for wildland firefighters who are hardworking, physically fit, self-motivated and willing to travel. The Module provides initial attack capabilities to the Fire District including basic 911 requests for service (EMS, Wildland and Structural fire attack and support). Structural fire experience is not required but helpful. While not providing emergency services (in –district or out), the module is engaged in project work and other duties intent on maintaining readiness. The District has an aggressive mitigation program which includes homesite, subdivision and interagency projects. The 2017 season will run from March 27th thru November 16th (34 weeks).
Minimum of FFT2 (S-130/190) basic wildland firefighting education and experience is required. Desired qualifications: FFT2 or FFT1, FAL3 or FAL2, FEMO and EMT-Basic. Applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment physical (including drug test) and pack test at the arduous level. Very competitive wages and benefits.
