[email protected] CLASSROOM NEWS! Miss Allie and Miss Kirsten are doing lots of hands on activities with the Little Lambs to get their brains thinking and introducing them to new forms of their senses. Activities include painting small pumpkins and a pumpkin photo booth for the children to take pictures. One nice day this month, they will take the children out to the baby pool for a sensory activity. They are looking forward to spending time with their Little Lambs!
Miss Gabby is teaching her little ladybugs how to show love this month! They are doing a lot of sensory activities. They are looking forward to pumpkin picking and fun pumpkin crafts.
Miss Joanna and Miss Katie are busy working on safety. They are teaching their young Caterpillars how to “STOP, THINK, ACT” this month! They are also talking about their families and building a Family Board. They are looking forward to more apple picking and the pumpkin patch! Mondays will be Cozy Pajama Days with blankies, PJs and treats! Miss Stacey and Miss Kirsten have been working with the children on holding their pencils for writing the correct way. “Pincher grip” can be tricky, but they will get there! They have been encouraging the class to make circles and lines, so that hopefully by January they will be writing their first names! Thank you to all of the wonderful families who have donated items to the classroom, you are helping out tremendously! Mrs. Pucci and Ms. Sarah have the firefly classroom in full swing for October! They are all getting acquainted with their new friends, learning school rules and just having fun! As you might be aware, they will introduce a new letter each week and talk about what words begin with that letter and the sound it makes. They are also doing some math mania exercises, for example, counting bears, counting money and adding small objects. “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”. Miss Amy is off to a great start with the Good Knights! With more homework starting, please let her know if you would like your children to begin homework @ Faith. With some days off of school already approaching, emails will be sent out regarding anything special the Good Knights will be doing (ex. P.J. Days or Dance Party). God Bless!
