Parents, Guardians and Students,
The Holiday Season is approaching and P.S. 69 would like to support the community. Food pantries throughout the city have reported limited amounts of food or in some instances are completely empty. P.S. 69 has teamed with the Bay Street Food Pantry, a non-for profit group, that ensures food is provided to Staten Island families. Last year, the school donated approximately 650 pounds of food and was presented with an award. This year we hope to achieve an even higher number. If possible, we ask if you could contribute sealed non-perishable items such as soup, cereal, cans of vegetables and macaroni. We ask for your cooperation to ensure that none of the items have a past expiration date. Please send your child with the goods and they will be able to drop them off in the morning. There will be drop off spots located in the auditorium, student cafeteria, main lobby and the Kindergarten complex. The food drive will begin December 5, 2016 and conclude on December 22, 2016.
