Our Lady of the Prairie – Council of Catholic Women Minutes - May 17, 2017 Attendance: Georgine Gansen, Maureen Daly, Janice Teal, Sallie Raleigh Prayer and Pledge began at 7:05 Minutes were read and Sallie moved to approve them with a few typo changes. Treasurer Report: Checking $4048.44; Savings $2393.00 = $6441.44 $82 was given to the Good Samaritan Fund – from the clothing swap 4 funerals since April 6 meeting. File report for audit. ------------Funeral report – None Altar Needs – No report Community – 3 car loads of extras from the clothing swap were brought to St. Joseph’s Coat. Prayer Life – Rosaries have been said during 8:30 Mass Southwest Deanery Information: Religious Recognitions can be utilized by Scouts, 4H etc. Fr. Miller spoke at Clergy Appreciation Dinner – Fr. Brian, Bob and Sallie Raleigh and several others from Belle Plaine attended. Constitution: Maureen moved that we approve the changes to the Constitution. Janice 2 nd, approved. Letter: Maureen moved to accept and send the annual letter to all CCW Women. Sallie 2nd. Approved Maureen made a motion to place an ad in the Catholic Spirit for Fr. McCabe’s 25 th and Fr. Kaluza’s 10th Anniversay of their Ordinations. Sallie 2nd , approved. Georgine will be reinstalled in August. Due to bad weather Marcia Simon was unable to make it tonight.
