Physical Recovery by using Recovery CD
Physical Recovery by using Recovery CD Follow below steps to perform Physical Recovery for Image backups using Recovery CD.
1. To do Physical recovery using Recovery CD first we need to download and install WAIK. For downloading WAIK you can use the link shown below. http://www.microsoft.com/enus/download/confirmation.aspx?id=5753 2. Once WAIK is installed, download Recovery CD from our website https://www.vembu.com/try/ There will be 32bit and 64bit, you can download according to your requirement. The download file will be in zip format. Unzip the downloaded file. Once you unzip, run RecoverCDBuilder with administrator privileges. Once you run,a window will be opened as shown below.
3. Read the license carefully and then click agree to continue. Once you click agree, the window proceeds to show VembuBDR Recovery CD Builder window as shown below.
4. In this window, the WAIK location will be automatically filled, Target location is the location where you want to store the ISO. Then click Build to start creating ISO file. Once you click Build the ISO creating progress will be shown.
5. Once it is completed the ISO file will be available in the Target location you have entered.
6. Insert the CD in the drive and burn the ISO file in the CD by clicking Burn Disk Image. Then Windows Disk Image Burner will be opened and click Burn button to start burning process.
7. Once you click burn the, burning progress will be shown as displayed below.
8. Once the disk burning is done, the CD will be ejected and come out of driver. Insert the CD again and reboot your system by keep boot priority as CDDrive. The VembuBDR Recovery console will be opened as shown below. Click next and continue.
9. Once you click next license window will be shown. Read the license carefully and then select agree, click next to continue.
10. Once you click next you will be redirected to the window where you have to select the task. In this page we have Recover entire disk or partition, Set BCD boot configuration and VMware driver installation. Since you have to do Physical recovery, you have to choose Recover entire disk or partition and click next to continue.
11. Once you click next then next window will be shown where you have to Browse the folder where you have restored the files from the server. Following are the inputs have to give. Once you give inputs select next to continue. a. Browse and select the file which you need to recover.
b. Browse and select the backup configuration file. c. Select the disk/drive you wish to restore from the following list in the window.
12. Now a window will be shown where you have to select the Target disk/drive to recover as shown below. Select the Target disk/drive and then click next to continue. Make a note that the selected disk/drive for recover will be formatted and only recovered data will be available. So you make sure that you don’t have any important data on taget disk/drive.
13. Once you click next, the recover process starts and once it is completed you can find your recovered data in the target disk/drive you choosed. For any other details please contact our support team through “ [email protected] ” Thank you
