Another unique feature of Saturday’s contest will be the players exclusively swinging wood bats provided by the Hoosier Bat Company. The colors of cancer awareness will be in the hands of the players, from pink to orange to draw attention to all forms of cancer. After the double header, the players will sign and donate the bats to the cancer survivors who attend Saturday’s event. Hampshire Head Coach, John Sarna said, “The idea of the players swinging colored wood bats makes this event unique.” You see a lot of pink in the NFL & MLB, but not much in the other cancer colors.
