Overview 2
The Savidya-Upasamiti project started as a Support-A-School project in 2005-06 that would augment the resources in a Primary School in Kulethi, Champawat (Uttarakhand). Over the years, Savidya built a Library and a Science Resource Center in Kulethi. The infrastructure in all the schools have been upgraded following Savidya’s involvement. The State Govt. has also increased the number of teachers in some of the schools. Distinguished visitors and numerous organisations from all over India have visited Champawat and contributed to the growth of the project. The project has received enormous publicity and has become of the largest projects supported by Asha-SV. In 2012-13, the project covers 8 schools and benefits ~500 students. The 2012-13 project grant is Rs. 1,617,000.
All programs are being conducted as per the outlines of the 2012-13 project proposal.
