School News – January 25, 2019

School News – January 25, 2019 Today is the 100th day of school. This celebration, typically observed in the lower grades, is a wonderful graduation mark. At this point of the year, middle schoolers and Kindergartners alike have different skills to focus on and growth areas to practice. Now that we are closer to the end of the academic year and quarter 3 is well under way, here is a question and a request: How can we better partner together to ensure all of our students finish this year as strong as possible (academically, spiritually, socio-emotionally, etc.)? The request is to have you reach out to our wonderful teachers to communicate student needs and work together to set goals allowing for the highest level of individual student success. Fencing and security update: Thank you for your patience as we understand our new normal regarding fencing and security. The gate that connects the grade school and the preschool will remain unlocked until 8:20 AM. We hope this will provide parents who have children in both academic institutions an opportunity to get their elementary students settled prior to 8:15 AM and headed back through campus versus around campus. If you have additional feedback please contact Evan Anwyl either in the school office or at [email protected]. ITBS – Information about your child’s ITBS testing results are now available to pick up in the school office. By testing in the fall we are able to see student strengths and weaknesses and work to build on them as the year progresses. Once again, our students did very well and their scores translate well above the national average. Any student results not picked up in the coming weeks will be distributed to parents at the third quarter Student/Teacher/Parent Conferences.

The games are going so well--some nail biters and down to the wire games. Great fun!
