New ‘Riser’ on Whirlpool Cabrio and Maytag Bravos 1.75 Washers & Dryers
Brands Affected
Models: ALL Cabrio and Bravos 1.75 Washer and Dryer Models
Concerns: • Riser on washer is being removed during installation • Dryer feet are not fully installed in riser
Overview: The riser has been installed on both the washer and dryer for aesthetics. On the washer, the riser is also part of the cabinetry enclosure system, which prevents access to moving components during operation.
Actions Required: WASHER: Please do NOT remove the riser during installation—this is an integral part of the washer. The riser does not need to be removed to access or service any part. The feet on the riser are factory installed in the washer. See figure 1. DRYER: On the dryer, the installer, (or customer) is required to install the feet. When installing the dryer feet in the riser, start screwing in feet into foot holes by hand. Use a wrench to finish turning feet until the flange begins to touch the base. See figure 2. WASHER
