The 2017 Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize shortlist was chosen by a panel of five adult judges. Over 1,000 young people in schools and youth groups across the country form their own judging panels to read, discuss and judge the books, before submitting their final verdict to us. Together they decide the winner, which will be announced in November 2017.
