(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) This technological decade has made everything so complex that even in spiritual matters we tend to be indirectly making our communing with God more complex than it was ever meant to be. May I encourage you to get back to simple prayers and everyday communication with God?

Jesus declared to us that we have a great model to follow, one that enables us to engage all the elements of prayer in Allow me to encourage your hearts in 2016 to be purposeful and our daily communion with God. Here is just a reminder: diligent about your spiritual walk with God. RECENTLY ON THE MISSION FIELD
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – NOVEMBER 2015
It was an incredible blessing to partner with the Dominican Republic missionaries, Adrian & Sharon Thomas and Ryan & Heather DeWeerd. These visionary leaders are extremely purposeful in ministering alongside every Evangelical denomination that needs assistance in that country - where only 4% of the population believes in Jesus Christ. Their humanitarian work is impressive; their spiritual empowerment of churches and Church leaders is rejuvenating; their ministry outside of the church is effective; and their efforts to work in the schools giving both moral and spiritual guidance is exhilarating. But the pleasure and the heart-felt gratitude for ministering there was mine. To be able to engage in such a multiplicity of ministry functions was such a great reminder of what God has called me to be and to do. I had the privilege of ministering at multiple church services, leadership trainings, outdoor crusades in the city square; eight High Schools and one of the large Universities.
This wonderful breakthrough reopened our eyes to the incredible powers of our God. The general assembly room was filled with university students from all over the country, and with faculty and staff members. The spirit of the Lord was so tangibly present as I challenged them. The people sat still and simply soaked it all in … the stories, the jokes, the moral encouragement and ‘yes’ the Word! The thought-provoking Q & A period showed how intently the session was received. After concluding, the respose from the University was: “Please, come again!” We know the future of many of these students have been impacted. Praise God! Friends – Thank you for your faithful prayers as I travel and minister on these trips. Every victory (and we saw many) comes because of your prayerful and financial investment. “Marie is everything right and good about kingdom building! It is a joy to have her come along side us and help grow the local churches. Not only is she a blessing to the ministry- she does everything with excellence and passion”….“So for every child, student, leader, pastor, church and community that was impacted with the good news of Jesus - THANK YOU!” Sharon Thomas - DR Missionary
THAILAND - OCTOBER 2015 Having gone into Thailand for many years since 1999, it is thrilling to see how the women of both Thailand and Laos get so excited to spend time together just worshiping the Lord. Here are a few words from my travel accompanier, and Foundations Ministries’ Administrator, Fiona:
from the Lord. It was humbling to see their openness to receive whatever the Lord had in store for them. What a privilege to see what the Lord is doing in the hearts and lives of His people in Thailand! Please keep them in your prayers. Fiona Steyn, FM Administrator
WHAT A PRIVILEGE! This past October, I had the privilege of going to Thailand. Some of the highlights were visiting existing ministries that include: working with women who are being trafficked (offering them choices in life which include skills that can be used to start a new life for themselves); visiting a centre that helps refugees from Vietnam; and visiting a local Church ministry in their community. We also spent three days at the national women’s retreat. For many of these women, life is difficult and challenging but to see their joy at being together and in worshipping the Lord was a delight. Some of them had brought friends and relatives, a number of who made decisions to have a relationship with Jesus. On the Thursday night, Pastor Marie invited those who needed a miracle in their lives to come forward for prayer. All 350 women at the retreat came forward for prayer. Nobody wanted to miss out on the miracles, blessings and opportunity to receive

Please pray for Elease Harris & Dana Judson who will be accompanying me to work diligently in getting all the details prepared. Pray also for the National Women’s Leadership teams that we will be working with to develop something rich to empower the women of the many countries of Southern Africa.
