Malmö Fäktklubb av 1919 (MF19) have the great pleasure to invite you to our tournament Malmö Open on the 13th and 14th of April 2013. Foil and Epee – individual competitions for young fencers Foil: Born 1996 or later. Epee: Born 1996 or later.

The tournament is one of the competitions in the Swedish Masters series but it will be open for all fencers of the right age group.

Times and classes Friday 12th of April Equipment control possible between 18:00–20:00 in the tournament hall. Saturday 13th of April – Individual competitions Registration and equipment control from 07:30. We expect fencing to start within half an hour after the time of the last registration stated for the class. Please note blade size stipulations. Referees meet at 08:30. After the competitions there will be a prize ceremony. (A fencer is allowed to compete in a class for fencers older than him/herself.)

Regulations Leader of the competition is our fencingmaster Orvar Jönsson Head Referee is Björn Lindholm FIE-rules and SvFF – tournament rules of July.1st 2012 including security regulations. The mask must have the new type of bib for foilfencing.

Formula

The competitions rules and regulations are based on the Swedish Masters ruling book http://www.fencing.se/nyheter/masters-2012-2013---kalender-och-regler/ Poule systems depending on the number of fencers and then direct elimination. (Two poule rounds and then direct elimination for all fencers).

Fee

15 Euro or 150 SEK per capita or by double start 25 Euro or 250 SEK which can be paid at the registration in the hall.

Weapon and security control

Please note that metal vest and the mask are to be checked and given an inspection mark in advance. Inspection starts at 07:30 on Saturdy and Sunday and is also open on Friday 18:00–20:00. Weapons and security (all equipment incl. clothes) will be checked on the piste by the referee.

Each club - Swedish or foreign – with five starts or more (during the whole weekend) must also send referee(s). A fine of 150 Euro or 1500 SEK must be paid on the day of the competitions before starting - for every referee that a club is unable to present in accordance with the stipulations above.The names and competence (e.g. FIE) and weapon of the referees are to be stated in connection with the entries in Ophardt online on the 03th of April at the latest. Cafeteria

Beverages, sandwiches etc. will be sold during competition hours.

We must have them on the 3th of April at the very latest. Later entries will - if possible - be accepted. In that case the fee will however be doubled.
