What is a Deacon? The New Testament Church selected spiritual men from among the congregation who were already working in the church to be servants. Scriptures dealing with the work and qualifications of deacons are Acts 6:1-7 and 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Every year in the fall, our congregation selects deacons to serve our church family. We are thankful to God, these men, and their families for their willingness to serve the Lord and His Church in this way!
