The Rejection of GOD

So soon after Paul proclaimed that the Gospel is “The power of God for salvation to everyone who believes...” (Romans 1:16), the scene and the mood changes drastically. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth (v.18).

Maybe the context changes so suddenly because Paul is showing why the Gospel is necessary - the good news because of the bad news. He definitely moves into a dark discussion of how God had been rejected. Today we will begin a discussion that we will call “The Grand Design”, as we begin with this dark chapter about the rejection of God.
