CFL Book Drive
International Walk to School
Okarche Elementary is helping out the Center of Family Love with a book drive the whole month of September. CFL is looking for gently used books including picture books. Please do not send outdated non-fiction, or encyclopedia type books. If you would like to donate, please bring your books to the elementary school.
Johnny Appleseed Stomp Our first monthly walk will be Mon, Sept 25th after the 8:15 bell. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
TAPS News Thank you to everyone who participated in the Cherrydale Fundraiser or made a donation to our school. Today’s meeting is being moved to next Thurs, Sept 28th due to 3rd & 4th basketball games.
Wednesday, October 4th, Okarche Elementary will be participating in the International Walk to School Day. Permission slips will be sent home today. Please fill out all the information: name, address, and addition where he/she/they will be joining the “walking bus.” Forms are due by Fri, Sept 29th. All walkers should wear purple. Please remember the mornings could be cool so be prepared to wear a jacket and tennis shoes.
Parent Teacher Conf. It’s never too early to make your appointment for parent teacher conferences! The elementary conferences will be Mon, Oct 9th and Tue, Oct 10th from 3:30-7:00. Parents can call the school now to schedule a time!
Reminders Tomorrow is Fruity Friday! Bring fresh fruit that is prepared and ready to eat. Please sign and return the monthly walk permission slips. Please label your child’s jackets, coats, and hoodies.
